pump.fun bought the Padre terminal in October 2025 and now links to it as Terminal. It skips the app's Platform Fee, but does not publish its own fee.

Short answer

Terminal is pump.fun's own desktop trading terminal, formerly Padre, linked as "Terminal" in pump.fun's navigation and served at trade.padre.gg. pump.fun's Fees page says its 0.45% Platform Fee is not charged on Terminal; you still pay the on-chain fees (1.25% on the bonding curve). Terminal's own trading fee is not published on its site, so check the fee line before you confirm.

What Terminal is

Terminal is a desktop trading terminal: a dense screen of new coins, charts, wallet trackers and one-click buy buttons, built for people who trade memecoins all day. It started as Padre, an independent multichain terminal. pump.fun announced it had acquired Padre on 24 Oct 2025 and renamed it Terminal.

The rebrand is only partly visible. On 4 Nov 2026, pump.fun’s website menu linked “Terminal” to trade.padre.gg, and that app’s page title reads “Terminal | Your Edge in Memecoin Trading”. The marketing site padre.gg still calls itself Padre. They are the same product.

By DefiLlama’s count, Terminal earns more in fees than pump.fun’s mobile app, but far less than the largest third-party terminals; the 30-day Solana figures are in the box above and in the live table.

How to trade pump.fun coins on Terminal

  1. Go to trade.padre.gg from pump.fun’s menu or a link you trust. Do not search for it: lookalike domains exist for every popular terminal.
  2. Create an account and fund the trading wallet with SOL.
  3. Find a coin in the new-coins columns or paste its contract address (the mint, ending in pump for most pump.fun coins).
  4. Set your amount, slippage and priority fee, and buy. Terminal trades coins on the bonding curve and in PumpSwap pools after graduation.

Fees on Terminal

  • pump.fun Platform Fee: not charged. pump.fun’s Fees page says so in as many words: “The Platform Fee is not charged on trades placed through Terminal or any third-party interface.”
  • On-chain fees: charged as everywhere. 1.25% on the bonding curve, then a PumpSwap pool fee from 1.25% down to 0.30% as a coin’s market cap grows. pump.fun’s Fees page also says that on its apps and Terminal the protocol fee is charged once per multi-hop trade, on the first pool, which matters for coins paired with something other than SOL or USDC.
  • Terminal’s own fee: not published. We could not find a fee schedule on padre.gg or trade.padre.gg. The site advertises cashback on fees, but we found no official terms for it. DefiLlama’s fees divided by its volume came to about 1.2% over the 30 days to 4 Nov 2026; that is a measurement, not a published rate.

Because its own fee is unpublished, Terminal sits at the bottom of our cost comparison. Read the fee line on the confirm screen before your first trade.

Custody and KYC

Terminal’s Terms of Service (§6.14) describe it as a non-custodial interface: the operator says it does not hold or control your private keys or funds. We have not verified how its wallet keys are generated or exported. The terms describe no identity check.

Chains and availability

Terminal trades on Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain and Base, per padre.gg. Its terms (under British Virgin Islands law) bar users on US, UK, EU or UN sanctions lists and anyone in a place where using it is illegal, but name no country list.

Our link opens Terminal with a referral attached. Terminal publishes no referral terms, so we cannot tell you what it pays us or whether it gives you anything; we promise nothing. Note that a pump.fun referral code does not apply on Terminal, because the Platform Fee it discounts is not charged there.

Risks

  • Most memecoins lose most of their value. A faster screen does not change that. Check a coin before buying.
  • Unpublished fees mean you cannot compare the price in advance.
  • Brand confusion: Padre, Terminal and several domains (padre.gg, trade.padre.gg, terminal.pump.fun) make phishing easier. Get the link from pump.fun’s own menu.
  • Hot wallets: keep only trading money in any terminal wallet and move profits out.

Computed with our fee engine from each app's documented base rate, without referral discounts unless noted. Bonding curve: pump.fun's 1.25% curve fee (0.30% creator + 0.95% protocol) applies on every app. Large graduated coin: the canonical PumpSwap pool at its lowest tier, 0.30% (market cap of 98,240 SOL or more); small graduated coins pay 1.25%, the same as the curve. Platform Fee: pump.fun app and web only, 0.40% with a referral code (pump.fun Fees page, last updated 17 Oct 2026). *fomo on Solana charges a flat $0.95 on orders of $47.50–190 and 0.50% from $190; it also pays your Solana network fee. Jupiter Ultra, the default, charges 0.5% on coins under 24 hours old (assumed for bonding-curve coins) and 0.1% after (assumed for large graduated coins); Manual mode adds no Jupiter fee but leaves slippage to you. Solana network and priority fees, slippage and price impact come on top everywhere and are not shown.
