Short answer

fomo charges 0.50% per trade, or 0.45% if you sign up with a referral code, and pays your Solana network fees and token rent for you. On Solana, orders of $47.50–190 pay a flat $0.95 instead, and orders of $5–47.50 pay 2%. pump.fun's 0.45% Platform Fee does not apply, so a $1,000 bonding-curve buy costs $17.50 in fees, about the same as the pump.fun app (fomo help center, read 4 Nov 2026).

What fomo is

fomo (fomo.family) is a social trading app for iOS, Android and the web from FOMO Labs, Inc., backed by Benchmark and Index Ventures. You see what other traders are buying in a feed, follow them, and buy memecoins in a couple of taps. It works across Solana and several EVM chains, and offers Hyperliquid perps outside the US.

On Solana, DefiLlama counts it as one of the three largest memecoin trading apps by fees; the live 30-day numbers are in the box above.

How to trade pump.fun coins on fomo

  1. Install fomo from its official site, fomo.family, or the app stores. If you want the referral discount, open a referral link before signing up: fomo only accepts codes at sign-up.
  2. Create your account; fomo creates a wallet for you.
  3. Add money with Apple Pay or a card, or send USDC or SOL from another wallet.
  4. Search the coin or paste its contract address, then buy. On Solana you do not need SOL for gas: fomo pays it.

Fees on fomo

Order size on Solanafomo fee
Under 5 USDCflat 0.10 USDC
5 to 47.50 USDC2%
47.50 to 190 USDCflat 0.95 USDC
190 USDC and up0.50% (0.45% with a referral code)

On other networks the fee is 0.50% plus network fees. On top of fomo’s fee you pay pump.fun’s on-chain fee (1.25% on the bonding curve; 1.25% falling to 0.30% in PumpSwap pools). The pump.fun Platform Fee does not apply.

That makes fomo one of the cheapest places to buy pump.fun coins at sizes of about $190 and up, and one of the most expensive for small buys: a $20 buy pays 2% to fomo.

Custody and KYC

fomo wallets are generated and managed by Privy; you can view and export the private keys, and fomo’s terms call the wallet non-custodial. Exporting keys and withdrawing require FaceID. fomo does not describe a KYC step for trading crypto; bank withdrawals are not available in every region.

Chains and availability

fomo trades on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Robinhood Chain and others. Its terms bar sanctioned countries; perps and tokenized stocks are not offered to US persons, and tokenized stocks are also unavailable in Canada, the UK and Switzerland.

Risks

  • Most pump.fun coins lose most of their value. A social feed makes it easy to chase what others bought minutes ago. Check a coin first.
  • Small orders cost more: the flat $0.95 makes a $50 buy cost 1.9% before pump.fun’s fee.
  • Disputed incident: in August 2026 an account alleged a fomo iOS update caused about $6M of losses; fomo’s co-founder denied it and Protos found the claim unverified.

Computed with our fee engine from each app's documented base rate, without referral discounts unless noted. Bonding curve: pump.fun's 1.25% curve fee (0.30% creator + 0.95% protocol) applies on every app. Large graduated coin: the canonical PumpSwap pool at its lowest tier, 0.30% (market cap of 98,240 SOL or more); small graduated coins pay 1.25%, the same as the curve. Platform Fee: pump.fun app and web only, 0.40% with a referral code (pump.fun Fees page, last updated 17 Oct 2026). *fomo on Solana charges a flat $0.95 on orders of $47.50–190 and 0.50% from $190; it also pays your Solana network fee. Jupiter Ultra, the default, charges 0.5% on coins under 24 hours old (assumed for bonding-curve coins) and 0.1% after (assumed for large graduated coins); Manual mode adds no Jupiter fee but leaves slippage to you. Solana network and priority fees, slippage and price impact come on top everywhere and are not shown.
