pump.fun app vs trading terminals: cost, who gets paid, features
Every interface trades the same pump.fun coins on the same bonding curve and pools. What changes is the fee on top, who collects it, and the tools you get for it.
On a pump.fun coin, the pump.fun app charges a 0.45% Platform Fee (0.40% with a referral code) while most terminals such as Axiom and GMGN charge 1% and skip the Platform Fee; everyone also pays pump.fun's 1.25% curve fee. So a $1,000 bonding-curve buy costs $17.00 in the app and $22.50 on Axiom or GMGN. On large graduated coins the gap widens: $7.50 against $13.00. Terminals cost more per trade and sell speed and tools (pump.fun Fees page, 17 Oct 2026; venue docs).

The short answer
Trade in the pump.fun app if cost per trade matters most: its 0.45% Platform Fee is lower than the 1% most terminals charge. Use a terminal if you trade often and fast enough that filters, wallet tracking, hotkeys and multi-chart screens are worth roughly 0.5% more per trade. fomo sits between: an app-style experience at 0.50%, with Solana gas paid for you.
Whatever you use, the coin itself costs the same on-chain fee, because every interface trades the same bonding curve and the same PumpSwap pools.

The percentages come from each venue’s own docs, dated in the sources. The live table above adds each venue’s 30-day fees and volume, and the full cost table at the end covers every app.
Two details change the picture for some traders. Axiom’s cashback tiers cut its net fee from 0.95% to 0.75% as your volume grows, which narrows but never closes the gap with the app. fomo’s Solana fee is a flat $0.95 on orders from $47.50 to $190, so small buys cost proportionally more there.
Who gets paid
Every trade on a pump.fun coin pays two or three parties:
- The coin’s creator and pump.fun’s protocol receive the on-chain fee: on the bonding curve, 0.30% to the creator and 0.95% to the protocol. This happens on every interface; nobody can route around it.
- The interface collects its own fee. In the pump.fun app that is the Platform Fee, kept by pump.fun. On Axiom, GMGN, fomo and the bots it is their own 0.5–1%. Terminal belongs to pump.fun since its October 2025 acquisition of Padre, so its fee also stays with pump.fun.
- A referrer, if you signed up through a link. pump.fun pays referrers 37.5% of the Platform Fee since 1 Nov 2026 (0.15% of each referred trade). Axiom pays 30% of its net fee at level one, fomo 25%, GMGN 10–30%.
The referral codes only decide who in step 3 is paid. A pump.fun code gives you 0.40% instead of 0.45% whoever’s code it is, and it does nothing on a terminal, because terminals do not charge the Platform Fee. Our own links work the same way: our pump.fun link only pays us on pump.fun app and web trades, and our terminal links pay under each terminal’s own program.

Which to choose
- A few trades a week, or new to this: the pump.fun app. It is cheaper per trade and simpler.
- Many trades a day, chasing launches: a terminal. Axiom is the largest by fees; GMGN if you want copy trading. Expect to pay about 0.5% more per trade.
- On a phone, cost-sensitive, trades over $190: fomo.
- Comfortable with a wallet and slippage settings: Jupiter’s Manual mode is cheaper than all of them. See the ranked list.
None of these choices changes the main risk: most pump.fun coins lose most of their value. Check a coin before buying it anywhere.

Computed with our fee engine from each app's documented base rate, without referral discounts unless noted. Bonding curve: pump.fun's 1.25% curve fee (0.30% creator + 0.95% protocol) applies on every app. Large graduated coin: the canonical PumpSwap pool at its lowest tier, 0.30% (market cap of 98,240 SOL or more); small graduated coins pay 1.25%, the same as the curve. Platform Fee: pump.fun app and web only, 0.40% with a referral code (pump.fun Fees page, last updated 17 Oct 2026). *fomo on Solana charges a flat $0.95 on orders of $47.50–190 and 0.50% from $190; it also pays your Solana network fee. Jupiter Ultra, the default, charges 0.5% on coins under 24 hours old (assumed for bonding-curve coins) and 0.1% after (assumed for large graduated coins); Manual mode adds no Jupiter fee but leaves slippage to you. Solana network and priority fees, slippage and price impact come on top everywhere and are not shown.

Questions people ask
Is it cheaper to trade pump.fun coins on Axiom or on pump.fun?
On pump.fun. The app's Platform Fee is 0.45% (0.40% with a referral code) against Axiom's 1% (0.9% via a referral link). Both pay pump.fun's on-chain fee, so a $1,000 bonding-curve buy costs $17.00 on pump.fun and $22.50 on Axiom at base rates.
Why do terminals not charge the pump.fun Platform Fee?
pump.fun's Platform Fee is an app fee, collected only on trades placed in its own web and mobile apps. Its Fees page says it is not charged on Terminal or any third-party interface, which charge their own fees instead.
Who gets paid when I trade on Axiom?
Axiom keeps its 1% fee, minus any cashback and the share it pays your referrer (30% of its net fee at level one). pump.fun's on-chain fee still goes to the coin's creator (0.30%) and pump.fun's protocol (0.95%) on the bonding curve.
Does my pump.fun referral code work on terminals?
No. A pump.fun code only discounts the Platform Fee, which terminals don't charge. Each terminal has its own referral program with its own link.
