pump.fun referral code, explained honestly

What a code changes, what it doesn't, and why the code's name never matters. From pump.fun's own Terms and Fees page.

Short answer

Any valid pump.fun referral code cuts the app's Platform Fee from 0.45% to 0.40% of each trade, on pump.fun web and mobile-app trades only. Every code gives exactly the same discount; the code only decides which referrer earns a share of your fee (37.5% of it since 1 November 2026). Codes named "OFF100" or promising "$50 free" give you nothing extra.

What a code actually does

Since 2026-10-17, every trade you place in the pump.fun web app or mobile app pays a Platform Fee on top of the normal pool fees (what the Platform Fee is). pump.fun's Fees page sets two rates:

Your walletPlatform FeeWho keeps it
No referral code applied0.45%pump.fun
Any referral code applied0.40%Split: 37.5% to the referrer, the rest to pump.fun (since 1 Nov 2026)

That is the whole benefit. Every valid code gives the same 0.40%; no code gives more. The code you pick decides only which referrer receives a share of your fee. pump.fun can change that share at any time, including to zero, even for wallets already referred (Terms §4.9(c)).

The code applies only in pump.fun's own web and mobile app. The Platform Fee isn't charged on Terminal (formerly Padre), on third-party terminals and bots such as Axiom, GMGN or Trojan, on wallets and aggregators such as Phantom or Jupiter, or on perps orders. A pump.fun code changes nothing there. Those apps have their own fees and referral programs.

What it saves you

0.05 percentage points of each app trade:

Traded in the appFee at 0.45%Fee at 0.40%You save
$100$0.45$0.40$0.05
$1,000$4.50$4.00$0.50
$10,000$45.00$40.00$5.00
$100,000$450.00$400.00$50.00

With pool fees included, a $100 bonding-curve buy in the app costs 1.70% without a code and 1.65% with one. The fee calculator shows the full stack for any size, stage and app.

Link only. Our pump.fun link opens pump.fun with our referral attached, so there is no code to type. Sign in with the wallet you trade from and accept it if asked. Like every valid code, it gives you the 0.40% rate on app and web trades, and nothing more.

Disclosure: if your wallet uses our link, pump.fun pays PumpFYI a share of the Platform Fee on your app trades (37.5% of it today, set by pump.fun). It costs you nothing extra: you pay 0.40% with our link or anyone else's. We never offer rebates or inducements for using it. How PumpFYI makes money.

How to apply a code

  1. Use a referral link, then confirm. Codes are pump.fun usernames, and links take the form pump.fun/join/<username>. Open the link, sign in with the wallet you trade from, and accept the code if the app asks. Opening a link alone may not attach it, so use the check below. Applying a code may also make you follow the referrer's pump.fun profile.
  2. Existing users can apply one too. pump.fun's Terms say you may apply another user's code "whether or not you have used the Pump Platform before". You don't need a new account.
  3. One code per wallet, and possibly for good. Only one code can be linked to a wallet at a time, and pump.fun "may treat the association as permanent once made". Pick deliberately; you may not be able to switch later.
  4. Not your own. Applying your own code, or one from a wallet you control, is self-referral. The Terms ban it, and pump.fun can claw back fees routed that way.

Only open referral links that point to pump.fun itself. Look-alike domains and "claim your bonus" sites are a common way to steal wallets. Check our official links list first.

How to check it worked

pump.fun shows the Platform Fee as a separate line before you confirm each trade in the app or web app. With a code applied it reads 0.40% of the trade; without one, 0.45%. For limit orders the rate is fixed when you place the order. If you still see 0.45% after applying a code, the code didn't attach to the wallet you're trading from, for example because you signed in with a different wallet.

Why "OFF100" codes mislead

Search "pump.fun referral code" and you'll find dozens of pages pushing codes called OFF100, VIP50, Cashback100 or "FREE $50". The names do the lying:

  • No code is worth more than another. They all give the same 0.40% rate. "100" and "50" in a code's name are just characters in someone's username.
  • "30% back" is the referrer's commission, not your discount. Pages relabel what they earn as what you save.
  • "FREE $50" is a different program (below), with conditions, a capped budget and a ban on posting codes on websites.
  • Stale promises. Pages still selling the "4× boost" or "100% of fees to referrers" are out of date: that boost ended on 1 November 2026 (change log).

More detail, including how the same trick works for terminal codes: why fake referral codes mislead.

The $50 deposit match

pump.fun runs a second, separate program, the Referral Rewards Program, started 7 October 2026. We explain it so you can judge offers you see elsewhere. We don't promote it or share codes for it, because its terms ban posting codes on websites and coupon sites.

  • Who: natural persons aged 18+ only, not businesses. You must be a new user and apply the referrer's code in the pump.fun mobile app before your first crypto purchase through the app's integrated card or payment provider.
  • What: your first such purchase sets a match base equal to its value, capped at US$50. You and the referrer can each earn up to that amount.
  • The catch: nothing is paid for the deposit itself. You must trade on 5 separate days within 10 of the deposit, with installments of 1/6, 1/6, 1/6, 1/6 and 2/6. Days you miss are forfeited by both sides, and withdrawing the deposit early forfeits the rest.
  • Limits: first-come, first-served while a budget lasts, and pump.fun can end it at any time. It is not available in the UK or any country where pump.fun is prohibited. Further exclusions (Brazil, Indonesia and Nigeria from 26 October) and a 3 November update are reported but not yet in any archived copy of the terms.

For both programs side by side, see pump.fun's two referral programs.

A referral code saves 0.05% of a trade. It doesn't make any coin safer. Most pump.fun coins lose most of their value, and rugs are common: check a coin before you buy.

Disclosure: the button below is our referral link. If you use it, pump.fun shares part of your Platform Fee with PumpFYI. Your rate is 0.40%, the same as with any other code. PumpFYI is independent and not affiliated with pump.fun.

Questions people ask

What is the best pump.fun referral code?

There isn’t one. Every valid code gives the same 0.40% Platform Fee instead of 0.45%, on app and web trades only. A code’s name ("VIP50", "OFF100") changes nothing; it only decides which referrer is paid.

Can I add a pump.fun referral code after signing up?

Yes. pump.fun’s Terms (§4.9(b)) let you apply another user’s code "whether or not you have used the Pump Platform before". Only one code can be linked to a wallet, and pump.fun may treat that link as permanent once made.

How much does a pump.fun referral code save?

0.05% of every app trade: $0.05 on a $100 trade, $0.50 per $1,000 traded. A $100 bonding-curve buy in the app costs 1.65% with a code instead of 1.70%.

Does a pump.fun referral code work on Axiom, GMGN or Terminal?

No. The code changes only pump.fun’s Platform Fee, which applies only in the pump.fun web app and mobile app. Terminal, Axiom, GMGN, bots and wallets don’t charge it, so a pump.fun code does nothing there.

Is the pump.fun $50 referral bonus real?

A separate deposit-match program exists, but it isn’t free money. A new user must apply a code in the mobile app before their first card purchase, then trade on 5 days within 10. Both sides get up to $50 in installments while a capped budget lasts. Its terms bar posting codes on websites, so we don’t.

How do I know my pump.fun referral code worked?

pump.fun shows the Platform Fee as a separate line before you confirm each trade in the app. With a code applied it reads 0.40% of the trade; without one, 0.45%.
