Why "OFF100" and "FREE $50" referral codes mislead
A code's name is just a username. Here's what the spam pages don't tell you, and a three-step check for any code claim.
Every valid pump.fun referral code gives exactly the same benefit: a 0.40% Platform Fee instead of 0.45% on app and web trades. Names like "OFF100", "VIP50" or "Cashback100" are just usernames and give nothing extra. The "30%" such pages advertise is the referrer's commission, and "FREE $50" is a conditional deposit match whose terms ban posting codes on websites.
The one fact that settles it
pump.fun’s Fees page lists exactly two Platform Fee rates: 0.45% for wallets with no referral code, and 0.40% for “trades from a wallet that has applied another user’s referral code”. The Terms define a referral code as “that user’s pump.fun username”. There is no third rate.
So every valid code gives the same 0.40%, and the code’s name is just someone’s username. OFF100 does not mean 100% off; VIP50 is not a VIP tier; Cashback100 pays no cashback. All the code decides is which referrer gets a share of your fee (referral codes, honestly).
The five tricks
- Names that advertise a fake benefit.
OFF100,Cashback100,Gift100,SAVE100,save50,VIP50. The name promises something the program never offers. - The referrer’s commission sold as your discount. “Get 30% back” or “up to 50% off” usually relabels what the referrer earns (37.5% of your Platform Fee on pump.fun; up to 30% on many terminals) as a saving for you.
- “FREE $50.” The deposit match is real, but it’s for new mobile users only. It needs a card purchase through the app’s provider and trading on 5 days within 10, and it pays in installments from a capped budget. Its terms also ban referrers from posting codes “on a website, forum, coupon or deal site”. A page offering a “$50 code” is breaking the rules it advertises (both programs compared).
- Stale promotions. Pages still selling the “4× boost” or “100% of fees to referrers” are out of date. pump.fun ended the boost on 1 November 2026 (change log).
- Fake freshness. Pages that bump their “updated today” date daily without re-checking anything. Look for a dated source, not a dated banner.
The same trick on trading terminals
Terminal and bot codes work the same way. A venue’s documented referee benefit is the same for every code:
| Venue | What any valid code gives the referred user | Source |
|---|---|---|
| pump.fun app | 0.40% Platform Fee instead of 0.45% | pump.fun Fees page |
| Axiom | 10% off trading fees | Axiom docs |
| fomo | 0.45% fee instead of 0.50% | fomo help centre |
| Bloom | 0.9% fee instead of 1% | Bloom docs |
| Trojan | 10% off trading fees | Trojan docs |
| GMGN | none documented | GMGN docs |
A page promising “15% off” or “lifetime 50%” on these apps is promising more than the app’s own documents do. The trade guides list each app’s sourced rates.
How to check any code claim in three steps
- Find the rate in the platform’s own documents. For pump.fun that is the Fees page (0.45% / 0.40%). If a claim isn’t there, it isn’t real.
- Ask who benefits. If the “discount” is bigger than the documented referee benefit, it is probably the referrer’s commission.
- Check the confirmation screen. pump.fun shows the Platform Fee as its own line before you confirm. With any code it should read 0.40%.
Never type a wallet seed phrase or sign a transaction to “claim” a code bonus. That is a wallet-draining scam, not a referral program (pump.fun scams to avoid).
Why referral links exist at all
Sharing a code is allowed. pump.fun’s Terms let users, companies included, earn a share of the Platform Fee from people they refer. The conditions: disclose it, don’t buy ads with the code or pump.fun’s name, don’t make false or earnings claims, and don’t offer inducements. PumpFYI uses a referral link on that basis, with a disclosure next to it, and never promises more than the documented 0.40%.
Questions people ask
Is there a pump.fun referral code that gives more than 0.40%?
No. pump.fun's Fees page sets one referred rate: 0.40% of the trade for any wallet with another user's code applied. No code name changes it. pump.fun can waive or cut fees for particular programs, but not through a code's name.
Do pump.fun referral codes expire?
A code is a username, so it works while that account is eligible. pump.fun can refuse, remove or reassign codes at any time. Spam pages often vanish within weeks, but the codes they list may still be ordinary usernames.
Why do so many sites post pump.fun referral codes?
Referrers earn a share of referred users' Platform Fee, 37.5% since 1 November 2026. Sites post their own codes to earn it. That is allowed with disclosure; inventing benefits is not.
