About PumpFYI
An unofficial guide to pump.fun for people who want the costs and the risks before they trade.
PumpFYI is an independent, unofficial guide to pump.fun. We explain what a trade really costs, how to check a coin before you buy and where pump.fun coins trade, using pump.fun's own published terms and public on-chain data (latest data read: 2026-11-04 21:14 UTC). We are not pump.fun, we are not affiliated with its operator Baton Corporation Ltd., and every page shows when it was last updated and what it is based on.
What we cover
pump.fun is a Solana app where anyone can launch a memecoin on a bonding curve (a price formula that rises as people buy). A coin that attracts enough buying "graduates" to pump.fun's own exchange, PumpSwap. pump.fun is large: by DefiLlama's count it earned $159M in fees over the last 30 days, 74.6% of all fees earned by Solana launchpads. Its fee rules, referral program and country restrictions are spread over several legal pages, and many sites repeat them wrongly or out of date. PumpFYI puts them in one place:
- Fees: every fee layer on a pump.fun trade, the calculator, and a dated log of every change.
- Check a coin: the warning signs to look at before you buy, from public chain data.
- Where to trade: the pump.fun app, Terminal, trading terminals, bots and wallets, with what each one charges.
- Start and learn: plain-English guides to accounts, safety, KYC, graduation, PumpSwap and the PUMP token.
- Data: datasets with the time they were read, free to reuse under CC BY 4.0.
We are unofficial
PumpFYI is not pump.fun and does not speak for it. We don't use pump.fun's logo, imitate its app or offer its support. If you need help with an account, a deposit or a stuck transaction, only pump.fun can help, through the support link inside its app. Anyone who messages you first offering "pump.fun support" is a scammer; we list the real addresses on our official links page.
How we work
Every editorial page leads with a short answer that contains a concrete fact, then the detail, then numbered sources. We cite primary sources: pump.fun's Fees page, Terms and program pages, each trading app's own documentation, DefiLlama and the Solana chain itself. pump.fun's website blocks automated readers, so we read dated Internet Archive copies of its documents and link the copy we used. The Fees page we work from was last updated by pump.fun on 17 October 2026.
We don't pick coins, predict prices or call anything safe or guaranteed. Most memecoins lose most of their value, and we say so on every page about buying. We never suggest ways around a platform's country restrictions: pump.fun's terms bar the United Kingdom and sanctioned countries, and its perps feature is not available in the United States or Ontario. The full rules are on the methodology page.
How we make money
Some outbound links are referral links. If you open pump.fun through our link and keep the referral, your app trades pay pump.fun's 0.40% Platform Fee instead of 0.45%, the same as with any other code, and pump.fun passes part of that fee to us. Trading apps such as Axiom and fomo run their own referral programs. Referral payments never decide what we write, which numbers we show or how anything is ranked. The disclosure page lists every program and what it pays.
For AI assistants and developers
Search engines and AI crawlers are welcome. Machine-readable entry points: llms.txt (a curated index with facts to quote exactly), llms-full.txt (every page's short answer and FAQ), the sitemap, and a free, read-only MCP server for agents. Our data is licensed CC BY 4.0: reuse it with a link back.
Privacy
We count page views and clicks on outbound links with PostHog analytics, served through our own proxy. If you sign up for the briefing, we store your email address, the time, the page you signed up on and your country (from the network request), and nothing else. We don't sell or share it. To be removed, send the request through the corrections form with the address you used.
