The best way to trade pump.fun coins, ranked by cost and custody

Every app below trades the same coins on the same bonding curve. We rank them by what a buy actually costs you, then by who holds your keys, then by their security record.

Short answer

By documented cost, the cheapest ways to buy a pump.fun coin on its bonding curve are the pump.fun app ($17.00 in fees on a $1,000 buy, $16.50 with a referral code), then Jupiter, fomo and Banana Gun manual trades (each $17.50). Most terminals and Telegram bots, including Axiom, GMGN and Trojan, cost $22.50 because they charge 1%. Jupiter's Manual mode, a non-default setting that adds no Jupiter fee, is cheapest of all at $12.50 if you are comfortable setting slippage (venue docs and pump.fun Fees page, checked by 4 Nov 2026).

How we rank: the fee engine's cost of a $1,000 buy of a bonding-curve coin at each app's default settings and base rate (lowest first); ties broken by custody (you hold more control first), then by whether a loss incident is on record. Unpublished fees go last. What an app pays us plays no part; Jupiter, 2nd, pays us nothing. Jupiter's Manual mode is shown below the list, unranked. Full method below.

How we rank

We rank by three things, in order, and publish the inputs:

  1. Cost. The documented fees on a $1,000 buy of a coin still on its bonding curve, computed by our fee engine at each app’s default settings and base rate, without referral discounts: the app’s own fee plus pump.fun’s 1.25% curve fee (plus the 0.45% Platform Fee in the pump.fun app). Network fees, slippage and price impact are left out because they depend on the moment, not the app.
  2. Custody. Ties are broken by who controls the keys: your own wallet first; then built-in wallets whose keys you get; then apps that say in their terms they are non-custodial; then wallets whose keys you cannot export; last, bots whose terms say they keep your keys.
  3. Security record. Then by whether we found a documented loss incident (a drain, exploit or alleged misuse), refunded or not.

Apps that do not publish their fee (Terminal and Photon) go last, because you cannot compare what you cannot see. What an app pays us is not an input. Several apps here pay us nothing (Jupiter has no referral program), and the pump.fun app, which does, would rank first on these rules with or without our link. Each row links to the app’s page, where every number is sourced.

The tiers

Cheapest: about 1.7–1.75% on the curve. The pump.fun app ($17.00), Jupiter’s default Ultra mode ($17.50 on coins under 24 hours old), fomo ($17.50 on orders over $190; it also pays your Solana gas) and Banana Gun’s manual trades ($17.50). Jupiter in Manual mode undercuts them all at $12.50; it sits below the ranked list, unranked, because it is not the default setting and leaves slippage to you.

Middle: about 2.1–2.15%. Phantom’s in-wallet swap (0.85%) and MevX at its default rank (0.9%). If you already use Phantom, connecting it to pump.fun or Jupiter is cheaper than swapping inside it.

The 1% group: 2.25%. Axiom, GMGN, Trojan, Bloom, BONKbot and Maestro. Referral links cut Axiom, Trojan and Bloom to 0.9%, and cashback tiers lower Axiom, Trojan, BONKbot and Maestro further with volume, but at the default rate they all cost $22.50 per $1,000. Within the group, Trojan has no loss incident on record; GMGN’s generated wallets cannot export keys; Maestro’s terms say it keeps them.

Unpublished. Terminal (pump.fun’s own pro terminal, formerly Padre) and Photon. DefiLlama’s fees-to-volume ratio for both comes to about 1.1–1.2%, but that is a measurement, not a published price.

When the cheapest is not the best choice

  • Small buys. fomo’s flat $0.95 on orders from $47.50 to $190 makes a $100 buy cost more there than in the pump.fun app or on Jupiter.
  • Graduated coins. Once a coin moves to a PumpSwap pool its fee falls with market cap, from 1.25% to 0.30%. The app’s fee then matters more: on a large graduated coin, $1,000 costs $7.50 in the pump.fun app against $13.00 on a 1% terminal.
  • Where you live. Jupiter excludes US wallets; Bloom prohibits the US; Trojan restricts the US and EU; Maestro the US and Canada. pump.fun itself prohibits the UK. Each venue page lists its limits.
  • How you trade. If you want copy trading or sniping, a terminal or bot does things the app does not. Pay the extra knowingly.

What every option shares

All of them trade the same pump.fun coins, and most pump.fun coins lose most of their value, many within hours. No app’s fee or speed changes that. Check a coin before buying, buy by contract address rather than name, and use only official sites: lookalike domains and fake support accounts are the most common way people lose wallets.

Computed with our fee engine from each app's documented base rate, without referral discounts unless noted. Bonding curve: pump.fun's 1.25% curve fee (0.30% creator + 0.95% protocol) applies on every app. Large graduated coin: the canonical PumpSwap pool at its lowest tier, 0.30% (market cap of 98,240 SOL or more); small graduated coins pay 1.25%, the same as the curve. Platform Fee: pump.fun app and web only, 0.40% with a referral code (pump.fun Fees page, last updated 17 Oct 2026). *fomo on Solana charges a flat $0.95 on orders of $47.50–190 and 0.50% from $190; it also pays your Solana network fee. Jupiter Ultra, the default, charges 0.5% on coins under 24 hours old (assumed for bonding-curve coins) and 0.1% after (assumed for large graduated coins); Manual mode adds no Jupiter fee but leaves slippage to you. Solana network and priority fees, slippage and price impact come on top everywhere and are not shown.

Questions people ask

What is the cheapest way to buy pump.fun coins?

Jupiter in Manual mode with your own Solana wallet: it adds no Jupiter fee, so you pay only pump.fun's 1.25% curve fee and network fees, $12.50 on a $1,000 buy. At default settings, the pump.fun app is cheapest at $17.00 ($16.50 with a referral code).

What is the best pump.fun trading bot?

By cost, Banana Gun's 0.5% manual-trade fee is the lowest among Telegram bots; most others (Trojan, BONKbot, Bloom, Maestro) charge 1%. By custody, Trojan, Bloom and BONKbot say in their terms that they do not hold your keys, while Maestro's terms say it keeps them.

Are terminals worth the extra fee?

Only if you use what they sell: fast new-coin boards, filters, hotkeys and wallet tracking. On a $1,000 buy, a 1% terminal costs about $5.50 more than the pump.fun app, and the coin itself is no safer.

Do you rank apps by how much they pay you?

No. The order comes from documented costs, custody and security record, computed the same way for every app. Jupiter, ranked near the top, has no referral program and pays us nothing.
