pump.fun adds Diamond algorithm to Callout Rewards

Short answer

pump.fun co-founder Alon said on 6 November 2026 that Callout Rewards now runs a second algorithm, Diamond, alongside the original, renamed Degen. Diamond applies a multiplier to callouts on higher market cap tokens and boosts perps and non-Solana tokens. He published no multiplier, market cap threshold or split between the two.

What happened

pump.fun co-founder Alon described the change on X at 22:09 UTC on 6 November, saying it had rolled out “over the past few days” without giving a start date. Callout Rewards pays discretionary daily USDC for activity linked to callouts, which are public calls on coins a caller holds.

The program now has two scoring algorithms. The original continues under the name Degen. The new one, Diamond, which Alon calls experimental, does two things by his account:

  • applies a multiplier to callouts on higher market cap tokens
  • boosts rewards for perps (leveraged contracts with no expiry) and for non-Solana tokens, such as EVM chains

His stated goals are to reward calls on larger coins and to draw in users from perps and other chains. He says more changes to both algorithms are coming. We have not seen the feature in the app.

What is not known

The post does not say:

  • how large the multiplier or boost is, or what counts as a higher market cap
  • how the reward pool is divided between Degen and Diamond, or whether a caller’s rewards come from one or both
  • whether the low-cap reduction reported from the 10 October payout still applies under Degen

The latest archived Callout Terms we can check date from 13 August. They say the metric and pool size “will not be disclosed”, so these numbers may never be published.

What it means for traders

The post announces no fee change. Our last check of pump.fun’s Fees page shows a Platform Fee, pump.fun’s own charge on app and web trades, of 0.45%, or 0.40% with any valid referral code; every valid code gives the same rate. It is not charged on perps, which have their own costs. See all fees.

A multiplier gives callers a reason to post about larger coins, perps and other chains, but it says nothing about whether a call is good. A caller holds the position and is also paid for the activity. Larger coins can still fall, and leveraged perps can be liquidated. Most memecoins lose most of their value, so check a coin before acting on a call.

Rewards remain discretionary and can be zero. pump.fun’s perps exclude the US, Ontario and the UK, and its Callout Terms exclude UK and sanctioned persons from rewards. Alon did not say how the perps boost applies to callers in the US or Ontario. This follows another callout change the same day: callouts now post alongside the caller’s buy.
