pump.fun now posts callouts alongside the caller's buy

Short answer

pump.fun said on 6 November 2026 that a callout, its public call on a coin, can now post alongside the caller's buy. Previously a caller had to buy first and then write the call, which pump.fun says made callouts appear at a higher price than the caller paid. The post does not mention fees, Callout Rewards or the minimum holding.

What happened

pump.fun announced the change on its official X account at 18:34 UTC on 6 November. A callout is a public call on a coin that goes to the caller’s followers. Until now, a caller bought the coin first and wrote the call afterwards.

pump.fun says that gap meant callouts could appear higher than where the caller bought. Under the new flow, it says, the callout posts with the buy, and it describes the aim as more accuracy and transparency. We have not tested the feature.

What is not known

The post does not say:

  • whether a caller can still post a callout on a coin they already hold
  • whether the app’s minimum holding for callouts has changed
  • whether the change affects how Callout Rewards are scored; the terms say the metric will not be disclosed
  • whether it applies on every version of the app

The latest archived Callout Terms we can check date from 13 August and predate this change.

What it means for traders

The post announces no fee change. Our last check of pump.fun’s Fees page shows a Platform Fee, pump.fun’s own charge on app and web trades, of 0.45%, or 0.40% with any valid referral code. Every valid code gives the same rate. See all pump.fun fees.

A closer match between the caller’s buy and the callout makes it easier to compare the two. It does not remove the conflict: a caller holds the coin and can gain when followers buy, and nothing in the post stops them selling after posting. Past calls say little about the next one.
