PumpSwap fees, explained

How pump.fun's own exchange works, why its fee depends on market cap, and who gets each slice.

Short answer

PumpSwap is pump.fun's own exchange (an AMM) where graduated coins trade. A coin's canonical pool charges 1.25% below 420 SOL market cap, 1.20% from 420 SOL, then steps down to 0.30% at 98,240 SOL and above. Any other PumpSwap pool charges a flat 0.30% (pump.fun Fees page, last updated 17 October 2026).

What PumpSwap is

PumpSwap is pump.fun’s own automated market maker (AMM): an exchange where each coin trades against a pool of SOL or USDC, priced by the pool’s balances rather than an order book. When a pump.fun coin graduates from its bonding curve, its liquidity moves into a PumpSwap pool. That pool is the coin’s canonical pool.

Anyone can also open other PumpSwap pools for a coin. pump.fun calls these non-canonical pools, and they have a different, flat fee.

PumpSwap is large. DefiLlama counted $95.8 million of PumpSwap fees over the 30 days to 4 November 2026, more than the bonding curve’s $57.0 million in the same period.

Canonical pool fees: the market-cap ladder

A canonical pool’s fee depends on the coin’s market cap, which pump.fun defines as the current price in SOL (or USDC) times 1 billion tokens. Selected tiers for SOL-paired coins:

Market cap (SOL)CreatorProtocolLPTotal
0–4200.300%0.930%0.020%1.250%
420–1,4700.950%0.050%0.200%1.200%
4,420–9,8200.750%0.050%0.200%1.000%
29,470–34,3800.500%0.050%0.200%0.750%
68,770–73,6810.200%0.050%0.200%0.450%
98,240 and up0.050%0.050%0.200%0.300%

There are 25 SOL tiers and 31 USDC tiers in all. Both full tables are on the fees page, generated from the same data our calculator uses.

Two patterns stand out:

  • Protocol and LP are fixed above the first tier, at 0.05% and 0.20%. Only the creator fee moves.
  • The creator fee peaks right after the first tier, at 0.95% from 420 SOL, then falls by 0.05 percentage points per tier (0.025 points in the upper tiers). Big coins are cheap to trade, and mid-sized coins pay their creators the most.

Non-canonical pools

Any PumpSwap pool that is not a coin’s canonical pool charges a flat 0.3%: 0% creator, 0.05% protocol, 0.25% LP. Aggregators sometimes route through such pools when they offer a better price. The pool fee is included in the quote you see.

Custom pairs and holder rewards

  • Custom-pair coins, paired with an asset other than SOL or USDC, skip the ladder. They pay a flat 0.30% in the canonical pool (0.05% creator, 0.05% protocol, 0.20% LP).
  • Holder Rewards coins pay the same rates, but the creator’s slice goes to holders. On a custom-pair Holder Rewards coin the creator’s slice is replaced by the flat rate set at launch, 0.01% to 3% (holder rewards explained).

What you pay on top

The pool fee is the same whichever app sends your trade. On top of it:

  • in the pump.fun app: the 0.45% Platform Fee, or 0.40% with a referral code (the Platform Fee);
  • on terminals and bots: their own fee, usually 1%;
  • on Jupiter: 0.1% for most tokens in its default Ultra mode, 0.5% for tokens under 24 hours old, 0% in Manual mode.

The fee calculator adds it all up for a given market cap and app.

Questions people ask

What are PumpSwap fees?

In a graduated coin's canonical pool: 1.25% below 420 SOL market cap, 1.20% from 420 to 1,470 SOL, stepping down to 0.30% at 98,240 SOL and above. Non-canonical pools charge a flat 0.30%. USDC-paired coins use USDC bands from 59,000 USDC to 20 million USDC.

Who gets PumpSwap fees?

Three parties: the coin's creator (or its holders on a Holder Rewards coin), pump.fun as the protocol fee, and the pool itself as the LP fee. Above 420 SOL market cap the creator gets most of it, up to 0.95% of each trade.

Is PumpSwap cheaper than the bonding curve?

Only for larger coins. Below 420 SOL market cap PumpSwap charges the same 1.25% as the curve. The fee then falls step by step, reaching 0.30% at 98,240 SOL and above.

Does the pump.fun Platform Fee apply on PumpSwap?

Only if you trade in the pump.fun web or mobile app, where the 0.45% Platform Fee (0.40% with a referral code) is added to every trade. Trading the same pool through Jupiter or a terminal skips it but adds that app's fee.
