Short answer

pump.fun cut the builder fee it adds to perps orders from up to 0.10% to up to 0.05% of each order's notional value, according to its Fees page as archived on 19 and 31 October 2026. pump.fun said on 28 October that perps cost 0.05% per trade, or 0.04% with a referral code, plus Hyperliquid's standard fee.

What changed

A builder fee is the extra fee a front end can add to orders it sends to Hyperliquid, approved by the trader once by signature. When pump.fun’s perps first appeared, its Fees page set that fee at “up to 0.10% of the notional value of each order you submit,” the most Hyperliquid allows on perps. By the 31 October archive copy, the same sentence read “up to 0.05%.” pump.fun’s 28 October announcement put the rate at 0.05% per trade, or 0.04% with a referral code.

The rest of the perps section did not change: up to 0.25% on each transfer to or from Hyperliquid through the in-app bridge, plus the bridge operator’s own fees, Hyperliquid’s trading and funding fees, and Hyperliquid’s one-time account activation fee.

One detail for anyone tracking fees: the Fees page kept its “Last Updated: 17 October 2026” date through this edit. Archived copies, not the date stamp, show when the rate moved, which is why our fee change log works from them.

What it costs

Notional value is the full size of the position, not your margin. Opening and closing a $1,000 position is two orders, so pump.fun’s fee is now up to $1.00 ($0.80 with a referral code), down from up to $2.00, before Hyperliquid’s own fees. The 0.45% spot Platform Fee does not apply to perps.

Who can use it

Perps in the pump.fun app are closed to anyone in the United States or Ontario under section 30B.2 of its Terms. Leverage can wipe out the collateral behind a position. Details: pump.fun perps and our launch story.
