How to sell and withdraw from pump.fun
Selling is the same trade in reverse. Getting cash out means sending SOL or USDC to an exchange, because we found no bank cash-out in pump.fun's own pages.
Open the coin, choose Sell, pick an amount and confirm: you receive SOL or USDC, minus 1.25% curve fees and the 0.45% Platform Fee in the app (0.40% with a referral code). Then choose Withdraw and send SOL or USDC to any Solana address, such as your exchange's Solana deposit address, and sell it for cash there. pump.fun's Fees page lists no withdrawal fee; you pay the Solana network fee.
Step 1: Sell the coin
- Open the coin from your portfolio.
- Choose Sell and enter an amount or a percentage of your holding.
- Check slippage, then confirm. The trade settles on Solana in seconds and can’t be reversed (Terms §9.6).
You receive the coin’s quote asset: SOL for most coins, USDC for USDC-paired coins. You can also set a limit or take-profit order; the Platform Fee is charged when it fills (§9.3), and it may not fill.
What selling costs
The same fees as buying, taken from your proceeds (Fees page, 17 October 2026; Terms §4.9(a)):
| Where the coin trades | Pool fees | Platform Fee (app and web) | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bonding curve | 1.25% | 0.45% (0.40% with a code) | 1.70% (1.65%) |
| PumpSwap canonical pool | 1.25% down to 0.30%, by market cap | 0.45% (0.40%) | 1.70% down to 0.75% |
Plus the network fee and slippage. Selling through a wallet or terminal skips the Platform Fee but usually adds that venue’s own fee. See the fee calculator.
Step 2: Withdraw
- Choose Withdraw.
- Paste the destination Solana address and the amount.
- Confirm and pay the network fee.
pump.fun’s app checks the address: it rejects an Ethereum-style 0x address for Solana assets (“paste a Solana wallet address instead”) and rejects sending to your own address. Still, send a small test first when using a new address.
To an exchange: use the exchange’s deposit address for the Solana network and the right asset (SOL or USDC). Assets sent on the wrong network may be lost (Terms §8.6).
EVM coins: coins on EVM chains held in the app’s EVM wallet are withdrawn to a 0x address on their own chain, and need that chain’s gas token for the fee.
Step 3: Turn it into cash
We found no option in pump.fun’s published pages or app text, as of 4 November 2026, to sell straight to a bank account. (The app’s “Cash out” button is for collectible card packs, not coins.) The usual route is:
- withdraw SOL or USDC to an exchange you’ve verified with;
- sell it for your currency there;
- withdraw to your bank.
Each sale can be a taxable event. See pump.fun taxes.
Get your rent back
Each coin you’ve held left a small SOL deposit in a token account. Once the balance is zero, pump.fun’s Reclaim rent tool closes those accounts and returns the SOL.
When a sell fails
- Not enough SOL for fees. Keep a little SOL even after selling everything else.
- Slippage too low. On a fast or thin coin the price moves before your trade lands. Raising slippage gets the trade through at a worse price.
- No buyers. If the coin has collapsed, a sell may return almost nothing.
- Transfer-tax coins take a creator-set cut on every transfer, sells included; pump.fun shows a warning on them.
- Mayhem Mode coins: pump.fun’s docs warn that if the trading agent ends up a net seller, not every holder may be able to sell back into the curve.
These are reasons to check a coin before you buy, not after.
Questions people ask
How do I cash out from pump.fun to my bank?
Sell the coin for SOL or USDC, withdraw it to your exchange's Solana deposit address, then sell there and withdraw to your bank. We found no bank cash-out in pump.fun's own pages as of 4 November 2026.
Why can't I sell my pump.fun coin?
Common reasons: not enough SOL left for the network fee, slippage set too low for a fast-moving coin, or no buyers at any sensible price. Mayhem Mode and transfer-tax coins add their own limits.
How much does it cost to withdraw from pump.fun?
pump.fun's Fees page lists no withdrawal fee; you pay the Solana network fee. Selling first costs 1.70% on the bonding curve in the app (1.65% with a referral code).
