PUMP buybacks: DefiLlama vs pump.fun's own figure
How much pump.fun spends buying back its PUMP token, day by day, and why the public totals disagree.
DefiLlama counts $464M of PUMP buybacks from July 15, 2025 to November 4, 2026, $25.4M of it in the last 30 days (45% of pump.fun's revenue). pump.fun's own PUMP page claimed $482M as of October 10, 2026, $38.0M more than DefiLlama's $444M for the same date.
What this means: pump.fun says half of its revenue buys PUMP on the open market and burns it. The two public totals disagree by 8.6% on the same date, and pump.fun's page itself warns that "since the introduction of the custom pairs, the fee dashboard does not correctly reflect the revenue and buyback amount". Neither number is an on-chain audit of the burn addresses, so quote them with their source and date. Buybacks do not guarantee anything about PUMP's price.

pump.fun's own caveat: "Since the introduction of the custom pairs, the fee dashboard does not correctly reflect the revenue and buyback amount. This will be fixed soon."
From 24 Oct 2025, "Revenue" includes all Pump.fun bonding curve, PumpSwap, and Terminal revenue (Solana, Base, Ethereum L1, BNB) net of referral fees and cash backs, exclusive of Mayhem Mode. As of 28 Apr 2026, 50% of revenue is programmatically locked and allocated to be burned for one year.

How this is measured
DefiLlama counts the USD pump.fun spends buying back PUMP as "holders revenue", one figure per UTC day. pump.fun publishes its own running total on its PUMP page, which it says has been wrong since custom pairs launched (2026-09). We compare the two on the same date: DefiLlama's cumulative holders revenue through the page's "data as of" date, against the page's cumulative figure. Page figures are read from Internet Archive copies, never from pump.fun directly. Neither source is an on-chain audit of the burn addresses.
- pump.fun's PUMP page is read from its Internet Archive copy (archived 2026-10-12), never fetched from pump.fun. When a newer copy appears we add it as a new row in the reconciliation.
